Introduction

Hello, I’m Chad Meier: Native Oregonian, Father to Jake, Husband to Shawn, Friend to Many Animals, Lover of Old Houses, Licensed Real Estate Broker & Photographer of All Things. I recently created this site with the sole purpose of providing an introduction and a glimpse into how I capture the world around us. My aesthetic, if you will.

Just as not all "professional" photographers shoot from the same level, it's also fair to say that not all employ the same exacting processes for their hired work (a real estate photo package for example) as they do for the types of projects that may flex their more creative muscles. Editing can be subcontracted out to third-party vendors and automated software produces results with an unnatural or assembly-line look. This is often called HDR photography, but unless the work is painstakingly executed by human hand, I simply call it flat and avoid it at all costs.

My day job operating a productive real estate practice benefits from my vision as a photographer and media producer, because even when circumstances require that I hire a bit of freelance help, it will always be me personally that takes the time necessary to bring all work into Lightroom and/or Photoshop in order to make the final product jump off the screen for its intended audience. This typically results in real-world (read: financial) benefits for my people!

The resources I've developed over the past 20+ years are leveraged on behalf of my client’s interests & I promise to always work relentlessly to help them achieve their goals with every project I take on. After all, I believe that only when you’re left with an amazing experience, have I done my job.

Speaking personally, I've been connected to the city proper and surrounding areas Lake Oswego, Happy Valley & Milwaukie since childhood. Most recently, my family (Shawn, Jakob, Glenna, Juno, Ripley & Dizzy) have resided in the vibrant Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood in Portland for the past 17 years. When not at my desk or in the field helping clients, you’ll likely find me on a bike loaded with camera kit trying to find an unusual angle off the beaten path, or playing basketball wherever I can find a pickup game.
